Man Stole $1,420 In Scrap Metal From Yorktown Auto Shop, Police Say A 35-year-old Peekskill resident was arrested and charged after he allegedly stole $1,420 in scrap metal from Tompkins Garage. Jeremiah Jones, 35, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony after police investigated the larceny, which occurred in March. Jones voluntarily turned himself in on Aug. 23, where he was arrested, police said. Jones was released on $100 cash bail and is due back in court on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m.
