A Stratford EMT and a paramedic made a special delivery Tuesday morning in their ambulance.  EMT Michael Egan and Paramedic Steve Parise responded to a "maternity 911 call for a woman in labor," according to a Facebook post from Stratford EMS. Police: Westport Man, 46, Slapped Victim During Argument WESTPORT, Conn. — A 46-year-old Westport man was charged with assault after he slapped a victim during an argument, police said. On Saturday, Oct. 14, officers were dispatched to a Westport residence on a report of a disturbance, police said.  Upon arrival, officers learned the victim and Justin King had an argument, during which King slapped the victim, police said.  King was taken into custody, arrested and charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.  He was initially held on $500 bond and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Easton Residents Report Mailbox Vandalism Spree EASTON, Conn. — Easton police report receiving a complaint from a resident that a number of mailboxes on their street were damaged by vandals.  The complaint was made on Oct. 10, by caller who said their mailbox was damaged overnight on Saturday, Oct. 7. The caller said that several other mailboxes on the street were also damaged.
