Milford Man Dies After Boat Hits Buoy, Throws Him Into Long Island Sound NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A Milford man, 43, who was thrown from a boat into the water of Long Island Sound after it hit a buoy near New Haven Harbor late Saturday has died of his injuries, according to the New Haven Register.    The only passenger, a 47-year-old man from Guilford, was also ejected but swam back to the boat and radioed for help, the Register said. Fire Official Releases Details Of Plane Crash Near Danbury Airport DANBURY, Conn. — Three men were injured, one critically, after their rented plane crashed into heavy brush on a hillside just after taking off from Danbury Airport on Sunday morning, the Danbury Fire Department said in a statement. The airplane, a Cessna SkyHawk, took off at about 10:30 a.m. when the tower witnessed the plane crash and called 911, said James Gagliardo, fire department spokesman.
