Mosquitoes With West Nile Detected In Stamford, Westport STAMFORD, Conn. – After mosquitoes trapped in Stamford tested positive for the West Nile virus, the city began a round of spreading larvicide in catch basins to control the mosquito population. The West Nile-infected mosquitoes were trapped at a collection site at Interval and Gaxton Roads on July 20, and the results were announced this week by the city of Stamford. Car Thieves Strike For Second Night In A Row In Trumbull, Police Say TRUMBULL, Conn. — For the second night in a row, a car was stolen overnight from the driveway of a Trumbull home, police said Thursday. Stratford Police Officers Begin Using Body Cameras STRATFORD, Conn. — The Stratford Police Department has rolled out another tool to its officers for use on all patrols.
