Services Set For Michael Murphy Of Fairfield, Who Died In Boating Accident FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Services will be held Friday for Michael B. Murphy of Fairfield, who died over the weekend in a boating accident on Long Island Sound. He was 53.  Murphy died Sunday after he was ejected from his boat when it hit a breakwall in the New Haven Harbor area. A Mass of Christian Burial for Murphy will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield.
