Funeral Services Set For Drew Carlson, 38, Danbury Police Officer DANBURY, Conn. — Funeral services have been set for Danbury Police Sgt. Drew Frederick Carlson, a New Fairfield resident who died Sunday. He was 38. Carlson was a 13-year veteran of the Danbury police force. He died after he barricaded himself in a hotel in Southbury. Man Seriously Injured In Car Vs. Tractor-Trailer Crash On I-84 In Danbury UPDATED: DANBURY, Conn. — A 22-year-old Danbury man was hospitalized after a serious car vs. tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 84 east just past Exit 8 in Danbury, according to WLAD-AM.  He rear-ended a tractor-trailer that was parked at the end of the on-ramp at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, closing the on-ramp and one lane of the highway, WLAD said.  The driver of the car had to be extricated by Danbury firefighters and was taken to Danbury Hospital with serious injuries, WLAD said.
