Man Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train In NY WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A man was struck and killed by a Metro-North train in White Plains on Wednesday shortly after 8 p.m., officials said. He was hit by the 7:29 p.m. from Grand Central Terminal that was due in at North White Plains at 8:12 p.m., an MTA spokesman told Daily Voice on Thursday morning. Bridgeport Police: Robbery ‘Victim’ Shot Himself In The Leg Update: BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A man who said he was shot in the leg during a robbery Wednesday evening in Bridgeport apparently shot himself, according to the Connecticut Post. The shooting occurred just after 8 p.m. at Platt Street and Ryon Street, police told the Post, and the man was treated at St. Vincent's Medical Center.  The man told police he was shot by three armed robbers, but a police spokesman said there was no evidence of a robbery and said it "looks like victim suffered a self-inflicted wound," the Post said. 2 State Police Cruisers Involved In Crash On I-95 In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Two lanes on I-95 southbound were reopened after a crash involving two state police cruisers near Exit 25 in Bridgeport on Thursday morning, according to NBC Connecticut.   Everyone is OK, state police told NBC 30.  Traffic was backed up for about 2 miles to Exit 27 with residual delays from the accident, according to the DOT.  The crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m. and was cleared by 8:30 a.m., DOT said.  Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately available.
