Jose On Possible Path To Take Aim At Connecticut The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center puts Connecticut in the possible path of Tropical Storm Jose. The latest Atlantic storm is tracking toward the East Coast and is likely to at least some impact on Connecticut next week. The cone of uncertainty for Jose — which is going back and forth from hurricane to tropical storm status — shows the storm tracking toward Connecticut on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Light The Lights: Darien High Plays First-Ever Night Football Game Tonight DARIEN, Conn. — Darien High is bracing for a big crowd tonight for "Friday Night Lights" — the first-ever football game played at night in town. The Darien Blue Wave will take on the Senators from Norwalk's Brien McMahon High at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, in their home opener. 19-Year-Old Bridgeport Man Shot To Death BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 19-year-old Bridgeport man who was shot in the stomach late Thursday has died in the city's 20th homicide of the year, police said. At 11 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the corner of Beadsley Street and Newfield Avenue on a report of a person shot, police said. They found Eric Diaz, 19, of 5 Yarrington Court, shot in the abdomen, police said. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital by ambulance, where he died hours, police said. Jose Moves Closer To East Coast: Will Connecticut Be In The Cone? In the latest model from the National Hurricane Center, the potential path of Tropical Storm Jose shifted toward the East Coast — and possibily closer to Connecticut. The cone shows the probable track of the center of the storm — which was downgraded from a hurricane — over the next five days. 3 Wilton High Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists WILTON, Conn. — Wilton High School is honoring three seniors who have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. Reward Offered After Monroe Bank Is Robbed At Gunpoint UPDATED: MONROE, Conn. — A man robbed the People's Bank at 435 Main St. in Trumbull at gunpoint Thursday evening and fled in the cab of a tractor-trailer, police said.
