That incident affected my water and was likely the cause of death for three of my pets due to kidney failure. Easton Fireman Killed During Sandy Remembered By Stamford Colleagues EASTON, Conn. – One year after his tragic death during Superstorm Sandy, Easton resident Russ Neary is still remembered with fondness by his former colleagues at Stamford-based General Reinsurance. Neary, 55, became the first Easton firefighter killed in the line of duty Oct. 29, 2012, when he was struck and killed by a falling tree. Wilton's Amy Bevilacqua Wins Women's Division Of Unusual Urban Race WILTON, Conn. – Wilton’s Amy Bevilacqua won a unique race on Sunday in New York, taking the women’s division of the Men’s Health Urbanathlon. Bevilacqua, a Category One cyclist, led the women’s field in a race that included a 10 minute stair climb at Citi Field, jumping over yellow cabs, and climbing over school buses, monkey bars, parallel bars and barricades. The race started and finished at Citi Field. Urbanathlons are also held in Chicago and San Francisco. Norwalk Packers 4th-Graders Smash Ansonia In Playoffs NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Packers 4th-grade football team beat Ansonia, 32-6, in the their first round playoff game last weekend. Norwalk plays Bridgeport for the Colonial Conference championship Sunday at 9 a.m. in Shelton. In the win over Ansonia, Mysonne Pollard had scoring runs of 48, 44 and 9 yards. Camryn Edwards and Sincere Henderson also ran for touchdowns. Henderson’s touchdown was set up by a 67-yard run by Justin Oliver. Norwalk is 9-0 on the season and has outscored opponents 275-31.
