Norwalk Little League Holds Registration, Pizza Party NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk LIttle League will have its registration and pizza party on Friday, Jan. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at The Batters Box in Norwalk. All players who register will have complimentary use of the batting cages and free pizza. League officials will be at The Batters Box to answer questions. YMCA Gymnasts Spread Holiday Cheer At Wilton Meadows WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Family YMCA Gymnastics Team celebrated the holidays by creating festive Christmas tree centerpieces to donate to Wilton Meadows Rehabilitation and Health Center. The 25 trees adorn the center's dining room tables in the Alzheimer's/Dementia area. The Wilton Family Y gymnastics programs emphasize skill development in a safe, supportive environment. Two College Students From Ridgefield Win Skydiving Gold Medals RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Ridgefield’s William Harris and Andrew Stipicevic won gold medals at the 2013 U.S. Parchute Association National Collegiate Parachuting Championships, according to a Patch.com report. Both men are students at the University of Connecticut. They set a Florida collegiate skydiving record in their victory last week. Former Ossining Star Chong Plays For UConn Saturday In Bridgeport OSSINING, N.Y. – Ossining’s Saniya Chong will play in one of the few games close by for Westchester residents when the University of Connecticut meets Temple Saturday, Jan. 11, in Bridgeport, Conn. Chong, a freshman, has helped the top-ranked Huskies to a 16-0 record. Saturday’s game at Webster Bank Arena tips off at noon. Harvey's Boys Basketball Team Goes To 3-0 In League Play KATONAH, N.Y. -- The Harvey School's boys basketball team defeated Christian Heritage 68-57, on Wednesday night to improve to 3-0 in the league and 4-6 overall. Junior Ricky Hicks led Harvey with 18 points and had five assists. Senior Jake Cohn of Pound Ridge played a very strong second half, scoring nine points and finished the game with nine rebounds. Greenwich's Cohen May Have Warned Friend About Federal Probe GREENWICH, Conn. – Billionaire hedge fund manager Steven A. Cohen of Greenwich warned a friend that federal authorities were gathering evidence about insider trading, according to a recent report. A story in the New York Times said Cohen, the manager of SAC Capital Advisors in Stamford, told Richard Grodin to be careful about speaking with a former trader who Cohen believed might be cooperating with federal authorities.
