The walk is hosted by the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County. The United Way of Coastal Fairfield County serves the needs of people in Darien, Easton, Fairfield, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport, Weston and Wilton, among others. Mannelly led the Eagles with five points against No. 1 North Carolina with four goals and an assist. The Tar Heels squeaked out a 15-14 victory over Boston College, which is ranked No. 5. Norwalk Woman Earns College Softball Honor At Saint Joseph NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk’s Patti Sciglimpaglia, a sophomore at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference softball Player of the Week. Sciglimpaglia delivered on the mound and at the plate for the Bluejays. She went went 2-1 with a 0.78 ERA in 18 innings as St. Joseph played in a tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Harvey's Rugby Team Impresses In Italy KATONAH, N.Y. -- Following three hard days of training at the Reggio Emilia complex in Italy, The Harvey School’s rugby team played a combined U-16 and U-18 Reggio squad Sunday and earned an impressive 41-7 victory. Harvey’s coach Phil Lazzaro said opening the season against Reggio was “a big test.” Off the game’s kickoff the Cavaliers scrambled to hold possession against a quick Reggio side.  Following some back and forth play, Harvey would strike first in the 12th minute of play.  Senior captain Christian Artuso moved the pack and backs down the field in some well-strung phases of rugby. …
