Lace Up Your Skates At Stamford's Harbor Point Ice Rink STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford is home to many ice rinks, but there's only one that allows you to skate under the stars and feel the biting temperatures of a New England winter. Cass Gilbert Fountain Hibernates Under Snow, Cage In Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- It's the iconic symbol of Ridgefield, but at the moment, it's buried under snow and under the cover of a bronze and tempered glass cage. Architect Cass Gilbert designed the classic fountain at Main Street and West Lane, which he donated to the town in 1915. At the time the fountain was first installed, Gilbert owned and used the nearby Keeler Tavern as his summer home. Pleasantville Places In Top 5 At Westlake Wrestling Divisionals THORNWOOD, N.Y. -- Putnam Valley repeated as overall champion, winning its fourth title -- nine points ahead of second-place Pearl River -- at the Section 1 Division 2 wrestling championships Saturday at Westlake High School. Edgemont took third, Nanuet was fourth and Pleasantville earned fifth. Woodlands (seventh), Irvington (eighth), Westlake (ninth) and Ardsley-Dobbs rounded out the top 10. Fourteen schools competed at the tournament, which qualifies wrestlers for the upcoming Section 1 Tournament.

Mahopac Varsity Hockey Team Holds On To Beat John Jay BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Mahopac's Robert Buckley scored what turned out to be the game-winner to give the Indians a 3-2 victory over John Jay of Cross River in ice hockey action Friday evening at the Brewster Ice Arena. Mahopac (10-8-2) also got two goals from Owen Nolan, and Matt DeRosa and Buckley each had an assist. John Jay's Cody Harris and Lucas Prestamo each had a goal.
