White Plains Rolls To Unbeaten Start In Girls Lacrosse WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- On a beautiful, sunny day that almost felt like spring -- when the wind wasn't blowing -- the White Plains High girls lacrosse team played a strong game at home, earning a 13-5 victory over Clarkstown South on Wednesday. Senior Maryclare O'Meara paced the Tigers (2-0) with three goals and four assists. Erin McGee added three goals of her own, along with a pair of assists. White Plains returns to action against North Rockland on Monday, April 6. The Tigers then  host Suffern two days later, with both games starting at 4:15 p.m.

Greenwich High Girls Looking Forward To Strong Spring Track Season GREENWICH, Conn. - With the Greenwich High School's girls track and field team busy preparing for the upcoming season, fourth-year coach Evan Dubin said he is expecting good things from his squad this spring. "We have a large team, and I expect our depth to do well for us," Dubin said. "We can cover all the events, and get high-quality performances in every event. I expect to go far. "Last year we sent four relays to nationals, and I expect to do the same this year - if not better." The Cardinals are scheduled to open the season April 9 at Danbury High School.

Mahopac Girls Track And Field Team Will Be Off, Running MAHOPAC, N.Y. - The Mahopac High girls spring track and field team was busy preparing for the upcoming season last week, and head coach Adam Fetzer is excited about what he's seen from his athletes so far. "We're looking to be competitive in a new league," Fetzer said. "We're in with the Dutchess schools again, going against some top kids. We want to compete against the best.
