Authorities have released little information other than police were called to 100 Hemlock Road around 4 p.m. Detectives were still processing evidence as of press time.  Police have asked drivers to avoid the area for the time being.  Investigators ask anyone with information to contact the Branford Police Department at 203-481-4241.

Police ID Body Found In Connecticut River In Rocky Hill As Woman Missing Since March A 72-year-old woman reported missing in March was found dead in the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill earlier this week, authorities announced on Thursday, May 1.  Mary Colasanto was reported missing from her home in Glastonbury on Welles Street in late March.  A boater contacted police around 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, to report finding a body in the water. Authorities identified her on Wednesday as Colasanto.  Glastonbury police are investigating the incident. Police did not disclose the cause of death. Funeral services for Colasanto were unclear as of Thursday.
