Rosehill Scoping Session To Be Held On May 27 NEW CASTLE, N.Y. -- A public scoping session for Rosehill, the proposed redevelopment of the Legionaries of Christ property, has been scheduled for May 27 at 7:45 p.m. at town hall, the Town of New Castle announced. The scoping session for the project, which calls for the creation of 60 condos and rezoning of the property to allow for multifamily housing, is being done as part of the proposal's environmental review. Mottel Ends Recusal From Chappaqua Crossing Review CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- New Castle Council woman Elise Kessler Mottel has ended her recusal from the review of the Chappaqua Crossing retail rezoning petition. Lewisboro Elementary Voters Buck Trend In School Board Race LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- While Katonah-Lewisboro school board victors Scott Posner and William Rifkin won across the district, voters in the Lewisboro Elementary School zone backed opponents who had spoken out against closing the building. Official results released by the school district show that Rory Burke and Carmen Delessio received the most votes in the LES zone, with 463 and 391 respectively. Owner Of Ladle Of Love In Mount Kisco Gets Chappaqua Train Station Lease CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Leslie Lampert, the owner of Mount Kisco's Ladle of Love and Cafe of Love eateries, will open her third brick and mortar place in the Chappaqua train station following the New Castle Town Board's Tuesday approval of the lease with her new venture's company. The new venture is called Love at 10514, a reference to Chappaqua's zip code. Bedford School Budget Passes; Incumbent Board Members Win Seats BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Voters approved the Bedford Central School District's 2014-15 budget by a large margin. District results show that the budget passed with 1,350 votes in favor to 763 votes against. At $126.5 million, the budget includes a spending increase of 1.15 percent. Chappaqua Library Budget Passes; Gottesman Wins Seat CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- The Chappaqua Library's 2014-15 budget was overwhelmingly passed by the voters, with results showing 894 in favor and 193 against. Passage came with 508 votes in favor to just 140 against, according to unofficial resuls.
