Lake Carmel Woman's Body Found Near Home LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. -- The body of a 53-year-old Lake Carmel woman was found near her home early Saturday morning, according to Kent Police. The body of Karen Goos was discovered by police on Barrett Hill Rod shortly after midnight Saturday, according to police. The discovery came following a 911 call from Goos' mother, the police said. Firefighters Battle Two Bedford Home Blazes Within A Day BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Firefighters in and near Bedford were busy on Tuesday battling two house fires in town, both of which were in the Bedford Hills Fire District.
