Barnegat Man Faces Prison After Robbing Store At Knifepoint For Cash, Cigarettes: Prosecutor A 39-year-old Barnegat man pleaded guilty to robbery and numerous shoplifting incidents in Stafford Township last year, authorities said. Per a plea agreement, Nicholas Santiago is expected to be sentenced to five years in prison for robbery and four years in prison for shoplifting, with the sentences running concurrently, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said. Man Stabbed In Trenton, Woman Arrested: Police A 56-year-old Trenton man was stabbed multiple times on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 28, authorities said. At 11:19 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Hamilton Avenue and found the man on the ground, having been stabbed multiple times in the chest and stomach, Trenton police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries, police said. A 28-year-old Trenton woman on scene was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, police said.

Newly Minted Millionaire! Washington Borough Lotto Ticket Wins $1.7 Million It was a terrific Tuesday for a lottery player in Warren County. A ticket sold in Washington borough won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot in the drawing held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, winning $1.7 million. The ticket was sold at Krauszer's Food Store on Washington Avenue. California Woman Admits To $800,000 Fraud: Morris County Prosecutor A 63-year-old California woman pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to defrauding a Hanover Township resident out of more than $800,000, authorities said. In 2023, Anna Marie Bustamante posed as an authorized vendor when the victim sent her $806,727.92, via a bank account that was made to resemble the bank account of the authorized vendor, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.
