Elizabeth Man Gets Nine Years For Stabbing Woman: Prosecutors A 36-year-old Elizabeth man was sentenced to nine years in state prison on Friday, Sept. 22 for stabbing a woman last year, authorities said. On Jan. 25, 2022, Juan Abreu-Perez stabbed a woman inside her apartment on South 5th Street, causing her serious bodily injury, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said.  Abreu-Perez was sentenced after pleading guilty to aggravated assault in August, Daniel said.
