Danbury Crowd Kicks Up Their Heels At Food Truck Rally
DANBURY, Conn. -- It may have been hot and humid Saturday, but the steamy conditions didn't stop crowds from celebrating at the Country Music and Food Truck Rally on the Green in Danbury.
Food trucks lined up, offering up choices galore: burgers, gyros, cheese fries, mozzarella sticks, wraps, salads, and even mac and cheese bowls.
They came from all over Connecticut for the special event, including Admiral Gyros, Dads Food Truck, Meat the Press LLC, Nosh Hound, and Szabo's Seafood Take Out.
There was plenty of entertainment to be had as well, with line dancing on the green and live musica…
Shelton Enjoys 'Downtown Sounds' With Summer Concert Series
SHELTON, Conn. – It may have rained on and off, but that couldn't dampen the festive spirit as Shelton celebrated with a Downtown Sounds concert on Friday evening at Veterans Memorial Park.
On Friday, July 29, the band lineup featured the Kazoo Crew Family Band, Hubinger Street and The Alpaca Gnomes, with the gathering under tents as needed.
The many vendors included Reid’s BBQ, The Little Dog That Laughed, Raven & Rose Soaps, Hipponotic Candle and Andie’s Cookies, as well as an assortment of food trucks. There was even a beer garden set up.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Kenneth Lillis, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, July 25. He was 63.
He was born March 17, 1953, in Poughkeepsie, to Edward P. Lillis Sr. and Barbara Ann (Bradley) Lillis.
He was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School.
He served in the Army from 1972-74. He retired in 1995 as a City Of Poughkeepsie firefighter.
He was a member of the Irish Club in Poughkeepsie and he loved to travel.

Justin Earl Fullerton, 27, Of Wappingers Falls
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – Justin Earl Fullerton, a 25-year resident of Millerton and most recently of Wappingers Falls, died Sunday, July 24. He was 27.
Born Feb. 10, 1989, in Hudson, he was the son of Robert G. and Ruth A. (Scace) Fullerton of Millerton.
He was a graduate of Webutuck High School. He worked at the McDonald's restaurant in Millerton and at Goodwill in Poughkeepsie.
He is survived by his parents, Robert G. and Ruth A. Fullerton; brother Jason Fullerton of North Dakota; aunts and uncle, Sally and John Slachta and Robin Scace; and several cousins.
