Cargo Truck Hits, Kills 44-Year-Old Man In Baldwin A man died after being struck by a vehicle on Long Island. The incident happened in Baldwin, on Coes Neck Road, at around 6:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18. Nassau County Police said a cargo truck was driving near the intersection of Notre Dame Court when it swerved to avoid a car backing into the roadway and struck a 44-year-old man walking on the shoulder.
