Fire Engulfs Greenwich Home Friday Morning Updated: GREENWICH, Conn. -- A fire gutted a home at 178 Weaver St. In Greenwich on Friday morning. A Greenwich fire official said the home was under construction.  Deputy Fire Marshal Shawn McDonnell said there didn't appear to be anyone in the home when firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 5:30 a.m. He said the home was empty of furniture. A check on sales records show it was sold in December. No injuries were reported, although the house sustained heavy damage in the fire.
