Police: Teens Detained After Altercation At Greenwich High School GREENWICH, Conn. -- Two teenagers were detained by police after an altercation Tuesday afternoon as students were leaving Greenwich High School, police said. No one was injured in the dispute, which occurred as many students were waiting for the late bus dismissal at 4 p.m., police said. One of the students is from Greenwich High School, while the second may be from Stamford, police said. Ex-Treasurer Charged With Embezzling $20K From Stamford Historical Society STAMFORD, Conn. -- The former treasurer of the Stamford Historical Society is accused of embezzling money from the group, police said. Donald Huppert, 72, of of 63 Turn of River Road, was charged Monday with first-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court on March 23. The accountant hired by the Historical Society to prepare its 2014 tax return discovered several suspicious withdrawals from the checking account, police said. Police Release Photos Of Attempted Bank Robbery In Greenwich GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Police have released two photos of the suspect in the attempted robbery at the Chase Bank on Monday afternoon. Two Stamford Men Arrested After 17-Year-Old Skateboarder Is Struck By Van STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 17-year-old is in critical condition in Stamford Hospital after he was struck by a van and two Stamford men are facing charges of fleeing the scene of the 5:23 p.m. accident Monday in Stamford, police said.
