A Galloway Township woman was found dead in Atlantic City, authorities said. In a news release, Atlantic City police said officers responded to a report of the woman's body near the intersection of Hummock and Trinity avenues at around 10:11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12. Police and firefighters confirmed the 34-year-old woman was dead. Investigators were looking into what led up to her death. South Jersey Man Sentenced In $4M Money-Laundering Scheme
A Burlington County man was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for illegally laundering more than $4 million in proceeds from a mail fraud scheme, authorities said. Pablo Estrada, 27, of Florence, previously pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger. He was sentenced on Wednesday, June 12. Beaked Whale Found Dead On Jersey Shore Beach, Second Discovered In 2024
A rare type of whale was found dead on a beach in Monmouth County, marine biologists said. A beaked whale on the beach near St. Clair Avenue in Spring Lake was reported to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center at around 6 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, the group said in a Facebook post. Police ID 88-Year-Old Driver Killed In South Jersey Crash
Police have identified the woman killed in a three-car crash in Mount Laurel last week. Patricia Pierson, 88, of Mount Laurel died of her injuries several hours after the crash at the intersection of Elbo Lane and Amaryllis Boulevard, police said. A 46-year-old man was killed after striking a tree Sunday, June 9 in Bass River Township, authorities said. Vincent Genna, of Egg Harbor Township, was driving eastbound on North Maple Avenue, near Stage Road, at 9:05 p.m. when he veered off the road, New Jersey State Police said.
