According to Page Six, Trump had a golf cart built that was twice as fast as everyone else's to allow him to navigate the course as quickly as possible. One of the rules at Trump National was that Trump was allowed to pass other golfers who were ahead of him on the course, but Page Six says no members objected. The Wall Street Journal looked into Astorino's proposal, which would give a 40-year lease to a private operator to run the airport.
