Matthew Nedorostek, 66, of Westfield, fell into the Greenfield silo just before 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. 3.8 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Massachusetts, Multiple Other States The US Geological Survey said a 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook much of the Northeast on Monday, Jan. 27. The quake occurred at 10:45 a.m. and was initially reported as a 4.1 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located near York Harbor, approximately seven miles off the coast of Maine and about 13 miles underground.
