Mom Of 4 ID'd As Woman Who Died Hiking With Children In Sutton: 'She Was A Bright Light' A 49-year-old woman has been identified as the woman who fell between 50 and 70 feet into Purgatory Chasm in Sutton on Wednesday, April 23, authorities said.  Carolyn "Carrie" Sanger, of Topsfield, was hiking with her children when she fell at the 100-acre state park around 2 p.m., the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. CT Electricity Costs To Fall — But Don’t Expect Big Savings State regulators voted Wednesday to lower electric rates across Connecticut, but residents shouldn’t expect significant savings. According to the Connecticut Mirror, three commissioners from the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) voted to approve a rate adjustment for Eversource and United Illuminating customers. The change translates to an estimated $13 monthly decrease for Eversource users and a $3 drop for United Illuminating customers. However, actual savings will vary based on monthly electricity usage. William Stonier, of Ledyard, is charged with failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving, and second-degree manslaughter, Connecticut State Police said. He was previously charged with driving under the influence and illegal firearm possession while intoxicated.
