'Gouge' Found In Seaplane That Sank In Candlewood Lake After Rough Landing NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 9-inch "gouge" was found in a seaplane that had a "rough landing" and sank into Candlewood Lake in New Fairfield in September, according to a report Friday from the National Transportation Safety Board. Bridgeport Man Arrested On Drug-Dealing Charges In Milford BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 31-year-old Bridgeport man wanted on a warrant on charges of selling drugs was arrested Thursday in Milford, police said.  Richard Smith, of 1408 E. Main St., was arrested at 5 p.m. Thursday by members of the Milford Police TAC Unit. They were assisted by the DEA Bridgeport office and Bridgeport police said.  Smith was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with two counts of sale of narcotics and conspiracy to commit the sale of narcotics. Rollover Crash Reported On Federal Road In Brookfield BROOKFIELD, Conn. — First-responders in Brookfield were called to a rollover crash with injuries on Friday morning on Federal Road. The crash was reported at 10:45 a.m. Friday in front of 934 Federal Road, just north of the Four Corners area, according a Facebook post from the Candlewood Company at the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department.
