Warns Customers: Don't Fall For Phone Scam BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Aquarion Water Co. is warning customers about a phone call scam where an imposter leaves a phone number for a customer to call back to make a water bill payment or to pay a fine for tampering with their water meter. Norwalk Police Department Hires First Hispanic Female Officer In 3 Decades NORWALK, Conn. — When former New Haven Police Officer Tiffany Ortiz joined the force in Norwalk, she was the first female Latino officer hired in Norwalk in 30 years, according to The Hour. Connecticut State Police Charge Man With Shooting Gun From Sunroof On I-91 A 22-year-old Hartford man was arrested Saturday after he fired gunshots out of his open sunroof while traveling on I-91 in Wethersfield last month, state police said. Miguel A. Rivera, 22, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and breach of peace. 2 Bridgeport Men Charged In Home Invasion In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. — Two Bridgeport men were charged with home invasion after they forced their way into an apartment in Stratford and robbed the occupants, according to the Connecticut Post. Devere Torres, 18, and Shawn Hunter, 25, were each charged with home invasion and first-degree robbery, the Post said.
