Stamford Man Faces 20 Years In Federal Prison For Trafficking Cocaine STAMFORD, Conn. — A 47-year-old citizen of the Dominican Republic who lived in Stamford has pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking on Wednesday and could face up to 20 years in federal prison, prosecutors said. Body Of Missing Stratford Man Found In Housatonic River In Shelton SHELTON, Conn. — A 46-year-old Stratford man who went missing in the Housatonic River in Shelton was found dead late Wednesday afternoon in the water near the Sunnyside Boat Ramp, police said. At 2 p.m. Wednesday, Shelton police received numerous 911 calls reporting a man in the water who appeared to be distressed near the Sunnyside Boat Ramp. Toppled Pole, Downed Power Lines Close Spring Hill Ave. In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. — A power pole snapped and dropped its power lines after an accident late Wednesday afternoon on Spring Hill Avenue in Norwalk, police said. The road was closed near 76 Spring Hill for an extended period of time. Drivers were urged to avoid the area near Nolan Street Extension near Riverside Cemetery. Water Search Underway For Missing Man In Housatonic River In Shelton SHELTON, Conn. — Police were searching for an unidentified man who possibly went missing on the Housatonic River in Shelton on Wednesday afternoon, according to NBC Connecticut. Several witnesses reported seeing a man in the water near the Sunnyside Boat Ramp, NBC Connecticut said. Shelton police have been on the scene since 2:30 p.m., with dive teams searching the water, but the man had not been spotted, NBC Connecticut said. No other information was immediately available. Easton Man, 61, Arrested After Dispute Turns Physical, Police Say EASTON, Conn. — A 61-year-old Easton man was arrested after a verbal argument turned physical during an incident in his home, police said.
