Darien Driver, 58, Arrested On Drug Charge After Crash In Westport WESTPORT, Conn. — A Darien man was arrested on drug charges after crashing his car near the Sherwood Island Connector commuter lot in Westport, police said. At about 9:20 a.m., Sept. 20, Westport patrol units responded to the parking lot on a report of a one-car crash in that area, police said. Danbury Woman Crashes While Trying To Flee Traffic Stop DANBURY, Conn. — A Danbury woman who nearly hit a police cruiser head-on then drove off during the traffic stop was arrested after crashing into a fence, according to the News-Times. Bianca Marie Cruz veered into the other lane of Lake Avenue about 11 p.m. Friday, nearly hitting a police cruiser, then ran a red light, police told the News-Times. Danbury Man Charged With Shoplifting Seafood From Stop & Shop DANBURY, Conn. — A Danbury man was arrested on charges of shoplifting a large amount of seafood two years ago from a Stop & Shop in Milford, police said. At 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21, Milford police took Luis Cuevas, 34, into custody on an active arrest warrant. Cuevas is accused of taking about $400 worth of seafood from Stop & Shop at 855 Bridgeport Ave. in Milford in August 2015, police said. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 17.

Fairfield Woman Faces Drunken Driving Charge After Accident In Westport Lot WESTPORT, Conn. — A 66-year-old Fairfield woman was charged with drunken driving after operating her Audi A4 erratically on the Post Road and being involved in an accident in a parking lot, Westport police said. Two Tractor-Trailers Go Down Embankment Off I-95 WEST HAVEN, Conn. — One of the two tractor-trailers that went down an embankment off I-95 in West Haven last Friday was carrying a load of Poland Springs Water, according to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.
