Norwalk Hearing Delayed For Two Charged In Wilton Bear Killings NORWALK, Conn. — A hearing for two men charged in the illegal killing of two young bears in Wilton was delayed from Thursday until Oct. 20, according to The Hour.  State Environmental Conservation Police received an anonymous tip Saturday, Sept. 16, that an archery hunter had illegally shot and killed two black bears on private property in Wilton. Long Hill FD Tackles Burning Trash At Transfer Station In Trumbull TRUMBULL, Conn. — The Long Hill Fire Department quickly doused a large pile of burning trash at the transfer station Wednesday morning, according to a Facebook post. The fire units were dispatched at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to the Transfer Station on Spring Hill Road on a report of smoke coming from the building, the post said.  The first arriving chief found a large trash pile on fire, the post said.  Long Hill firefighters handled the incident and returned to service in about an hour.

Update: Missing 16-Year-Old Girl From Milford Found UPDATE: She has been found safe.  MILFORD, Conn. — A Silver Alert has been issued Wednesday for a 16-year-old teenager girl from Milford who is missing. Cassidy Davis, who was reported missing Wednesday, is a 5-foot-2 white female weighing 110 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Davis was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and jeans and carrying a black and pink backpack. It is not known where Davis was last seen. Three-Vehicle Cleared From I-95 In Norwalk Update: The crash scene has been cleared in Norwalk, DOT said. NORWALK, Conn. — Traffic was jammed for 6 miles after a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Norwalk on Wednesday morning just after rush hour, according to the Department of Transportation. The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. on I-95 southbound between Exits 17 and 16 approaching Route 7, DOT said.  The right and center lanes are closed in the area, DOT said, and emergency responders are on the scene. The backup is 6 miles long back to Exit 19, DOT said.  It was not known when the accident scene would be cleared.

The traffic jam lasted for 1.5 miles between Exits 3 and 1 in Danbury because of the crash near Exit 1, Connecticut DOT said.
