On Friday, the senior three-sport standout from Stamford committed to Division I Monmouth University to compete in the event for the next four years at the New Jersey college. Greenwich High Basketball Star Named State's Gatorade Player Of The Year GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich High School’s Alex Wolf was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for boys basketball, it was announced Friday. Wolf averaged 16.5 points and 13.6 rebounds for the Cardinals, who reached the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference championship game. Ridgefield's Tucker West Wins Singles Title In U.S. Luge Event RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Fresh off his first Winter Olympics, Ridgefield’s Tucker West won the men’s title in USA Luge’s National Seeding Races last weekend in Lake Placid, N.Y. The results will help determine the composition of the 2014-15 national team. West won Saturday’s singles race in 1:45.378, just ahead of Aidan Kelly, who finished 0.519 seconds behind West.
