New Swim Series Coming To Stamford In May STAMFORD, Conn. – A new swim series is coming to Stamford to benefit Kids In Crisis of Cos Cob. The Stamford Swim Series begins Thursday, May 29, at 6 p.m. There will be seven more swims in the series, which will be held at Cummings Beach. Watergate Conspirator Jeb Magruder, 79, Dies In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. – Jeb Magruder, one of the key players in the Watergate scandal that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon, died Sunday, May 11, in Danbury. Rail Service Restored Friday From Stamford To Grand Central Update: 8 a.m.: Metro-North reported service was restored in both directions. Original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Metro-North suspended rail service Friday morning in both directions between Stamford and Grand Central Station due to wire damage. Riders should expect delays of 60 to 90 minutes. The wire damage is between Stamford and Rye, N.Y. Greenwich Cheer Teams Win 3 Gold Medals In U.S. Finals GREENWICH, Conn.  -- Three teams from CT Spirit All-Stars from Spirit Zone Too in Greenwich won gold medals recently at the U.S. Finals, an all-star cheerleading event held in Providence, R.I. Tanzanites, Malachites and Specrolites all won gold. The Amazonites and Alexandrites teams also performed at this competition.
