America On Tap Showcases Premium Craft Breweries In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — The Ives Concert Park on Western Connecticut State University's Westside campus in Danbury hosted its annual America On Tap event Saturday, offering visitors a chance to sample premium suds from some of America's best craft breweries. The event also featured live music from the band Mullett, food, vendors and activities for the kids. For $55 visitors enjoyed four hours of beer sampling, a meal - courtesy of Hog Wild BBQ - and a souvenir sampling glass.

Food Lovers Say Hello To Fall At 'Taste Of Danbury' Festival DANBURY, Conn. - Danbury held its annual Taste of Danbury food festival this past weekend, as thousands of visitors strolled City Center Green, sampling food, drink and enjoying live entertainment. Organizers expected more than 15,000 visitors to the two-day festival, which ran Saturday and Sunday, and featured more than a dozen area food vendors, as well as kids vendors and activities. The Doug Wahlberg Band entertained the large crowd, and the weather cooperated for most of the day Saturday.

Eastchester Football Team Picks Up Opening-Night Win Over Harrison HARRISON, N.Y. - The Eastchester High football team traveled to Harrison for the season opener Friday evening, and it was the Eagles who came out on top, earning a 23-6 victory at Harrison's McGillicuddy Stadium. John Arcidiacono ran for 212 yards and and a TD, and John Guido had a pair of rushing TDs for the Eagles, who had over 400 yards on the ground. Eastchester's defense didn't allow a first down in the second half. QB Mike Nannariello, RB Zach Evans and the Huskies did some good things, but Harrison was unable to sustain drives against the Eagles defense.
