Putnam Goes To Dogs For Kennel Club Competition CARMEL, N.Y. - Talk about a Dog Day Afternoon. With temperatures hovering in the mid-90s, the Putnam Kennel Club staged two all-breed AKC shows, running Friday and Saturday at Putnam Veterans Memorial Park. Dog owners did everything they could to keep their prized pups cool - from spraying them with water, to wrapping them in wet towels and offering plenty of water. Pound Ridge Takes First At Northern Westchester D-iii Diving Championships POUND RIDGE, N.Y. - The Northern Westchester Swim Conference held its Division III diving championships Wednesday afternoon at the pool at Pound Ridge Town Park. Pound Ridge took first place, over Pocantico Hills (Sleepy Hollow) and Torview (Ossining) with three first-place divers. Pound Ridge's 13U diver, Auggie Hibler, and 18U diver Leni Hibler, both broke pool records. Rainer Hibler won the girls 18U category, and Jessica Cowles of Pocantico won the 13U girls event. All first-place divers were set to advance to All-Stars Thursday at Pocantico Hills in Sleepy Hollow.
