Adrian Gokaj went out to throw out some garbage about 4 p.m. Friday and didn't return, his family said. Last seen wearing slippers, a blue striped shirt and gray pants, Gokaj is described as mentally disabled, reports News 12. Police Accuse Woman Of Shoplifting At Sears In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A 62-year-old Bronx woman is facing a shoplifting charge after Yorktown police say she tried to take two shirts last week from the Sears store in Yorktown Heights. Anna Adachowska is charged with misdemeanor petty larceny after police were called at 7 p.m. Thursday to the Sears store, police said. Security officers detained the woman, saying she tried to take two shirts, worth $40 in total, without paying for them, police said. She was released but is due back in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, police said.

Y. -- No one was injured and the house was saved after a Saturday structure fire on Marion Avenue in East Fishkill, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.A call about 1:30 p.m. Saturday reported a fire in the house's garage that eventually moved to the house. With the help of several other area fire departments, East Fishkill firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it took over the house, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
