BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- In a recent letter to Bridgeport officials, former Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi declares his firing was political, and he seeks up to $1 million from the city to settle any potential legal wrangling, according to ctpost.Through his lawyer, Nardozzi, who lost his $123,000-per-year job in January, is asking to remain on the city's payroll through the end of his contract, or that he get a $1 million settlement, the ctpost reports. Brookfield Man, 90, Killed In Newtown Car Crash
NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Newtown police are investigating the cause of a two-car crash Sunday night on South Main Street that killed a 90-year-old Brookfield man and left the other driver with injuries, according to the News-Times website.Police said Henry Petrucelli was killed instantly when his Honda Civic, traveling north on Main Street near Botsford Hill Road, was hit by a pickup truck at about 8 p.m., the News-Times reports.
The 33-year-old pickup truck driver, who is from Shelton, was taken to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, the News-Times said.
