PLEASANT VALLEY, N. Y. -- A Pleasant Valley man is behind bars after state police found him destroying property in his former girlfriend's home, despite an order of protection against him, police said.The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Darryl G. Greenfield, 50, of Pleasant Valley, for second-degree burglary, a felony; second-degree criminal mischief, a felony; first-degree criminal contempt, a felony; and misdemeanor menacing and resisting arrest, police said.

Man Pleads Guilty Of Trying To Kill Ex-Girlfriend, Westchester DA Says
WHITE PLAINS, N. Y. -- A Mount Vernon man pleaded guilty to several charges, including attempted murder, for his April stabbing attack of his ex-girlfriend from Yonkers at the Irvington Metro-North station, according to the Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore.Sidney Brown, 52, of High Street in Mount Vernon, remains behind bars awaiting a Jan. 7 sentencing. He faces up to 25 years in state prision, prosecutors said.
